Life is short,
And we do not have much time to gladden the hearts of those who make the journey with us. So... be swift to love,
and make haste to be kind. And the blessing of God,
who made us,
who loves us,
and who travels with us
be with you now and forever.
The mission of Grandma Betty’s is quite simply to bless children.
A place for kids, a place for families, a place for us all to connect with nature and to connect with each other.
As a school teacher for over 40 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Dial spent her life serving children and families. Walking out her faith by loving with kindness and fairness, Grandma Betty touched countless lives within her family and community. Her hospitality was demonstrated with open doors and extra seats at all meals. She served the community delivering meals, volunteering in hospitals, reading in libraries, and wherever else a helping hand was needed. She was a World War Two Red Cross Volunteer. An enthusiastic elementary and piano teacher and an avid bridge player, Grandma Betty passed away in March of 2019 at the age of 96. In her last years she was still entertaining her friends as a pianist at Pacific View in Bandon, Oregon.
In honor to her selfless service of children and the underserved, Grandma Betty's will continue to serve the community by hosting families who have children with disabilities and hosting school groups onsite at The Park at Loon Lake.
